July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Seven

After having the June Project, I thought I'd find something else for July. And then, BOOM! I found this blogger who created a 31 Day Drawing Challenge, you could find him here, and he actually compiles some of the artworks.

Though this post is late, I have now my contribution for Day Seven - Favorite Animated Character. For those who don't know, this is Princess Yue from Avatar: The Last Airbender. For some reason, she looks a lot younger than she should be... ^_^

For the past few days I've been feeling very lazy, and so a post is just up for today.

Tomorrow, I should be updating a lot more frequently because of our trip to Palawan. The Coron part of the island instead of the Puerto Princesa since we've already gone there.

I just found the time to post at a bad time since I have to wake up tomorrow morning a bit earlier (around 6am). But nevertheless, I have to get to packing, which is the worst part of travelling... next to unpacking, I guess.

But for the past few days, I've been loving this "packing business" because I settled on a theme for our Palawan Summer Outing. Taking inspiration from Katy Perry's colorful candy-like outfits, I've taken some advice to get on with the bright and fun colors.

I've got a few colors packed but I doubt that I'll ever compare to Ms. Katy Perry.

Other than having the quest of packing up for yet another adventure, I also had to enroll my classes for the next term. I thank God that I got the classes that I wanted, without Him I probably wouldn't have gotten such a good sched.

I should be heading out now to get some sleep. 'Til tomorrow.

Hello everyone, I'm not gonna be gone for long again.

But, having two birthdays in two consecutive days just proves that there really isn't much time to put all the celebrating and blogging at the same time. Plus, I'm still trying to understand the new layout of Blogger. It's a whole lot more tech-y and it's not so easy for me to keep myself up to speed with it.

So, for the past two days who's birthdays were celebrated. One was with my tita who has a number of dogs. The other was our neighborhood friend that we treat like a cousin. With all the eating and family gathering, I felt really lazy when I finally saw my bed.

For my tita's birthday, they served a lot of food and though I love eating a bunch. I was most distracted with their dogs. They've got four in that house and the other two are vacationing with us. They've got a Golden Retriever, a Labrador, a Siberian Husky and three Pomeranians (the two of which are with us).

For my friend's birthday, we had the celebration here at home and got to swimming to beat the heat. Also, we had some spaghetti, barbecue and a birthday pizza. The night was ended with a horror movie as it always end when they're over. I finally got to watch 4bia, I am aware that it's a pretty old movie but I found it really creepy. Because... the movie breaks through the fourth wall (in other terms, looking/talking to the audience).

And today, my younger tita who's as young as I am, but still older than me by three months, has her friends over and they're having some fun in the pool. I, on the other hand, feel really lazy and have been playing with my newly downloaded, Virtual Families.

Last FIVE Days RECAP. (February 8-12, 2012)

For the past five days, I've been feeling incredibly sick.

But, a lot of things have happened even though I was sick. I still came into class and took the quizzes that I'm not even sure if my mind had comprehended what was on the paper. Needless to say, those were not my top quizzes.

FEBRUARY 8, 2012

~Photo of the Day: JPIA GA~

After our class in cost accounting, we (me, Jeth, Arvie, Lea and Winnona) headed back to Winnona's house via LRT. I am not accustomed to riding trains so I was really surprised to see it very cramped. Even though we were in the ladies' cart, I was still very mindful of my surroundings. We had lunch of Dinuguan and rice, and dessert of ripe mangoes and watermelon. Also, the reconstruction of the puzzle letter was completed and Winnona finally was able to read the message after two years.

Then, we rode back via train back to LaSalle to attend the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) General Assembly. I must say that we had a really fun time. Most of the Block One (ID110) was there. Some even participated in the JPIA Artists's Guild (JAG). We tried to win the Human Bingo, The Boat is Sinking (which was unfair because they chose the people who were wearing shorts, last I checked that's not how you play the game), then the last game of Pera o Bayong. The last game was mostly played by Block One, glad to be part of that class. And I was the last contestant standing. In the end, I won ONE THOUSAND PESOS bu the grand prize was three thousand.

This is beginning to be a long day, because at nighttime was my mother's birthday celebration. It was celebrated at the restaurant nearby called, Sis at the Seaside.

I began not feeling well yesterday but it got awfully worse today. We had a quiz and a report due. I could be barely speak without my voice cracking. My exam that day was surely gonna be one of my lowest since I was not able to finish the quiz.

It's getting better today. I was able to take my quiz a lot better than the day before but still not very confident. I began tearing up due to exhaustion when lunchtime came. But, I'd like to sneak in a thank you to Lea for the free lunch, an advanced happy birthday celebration. Three cups of tea in the morning, and three cups of tea at night. A lesson I learned from Mulan.

I'm feeling good. I woke up at 4am to get ready for class since it was yet another quiz day. Yes, I am aware that it is a Saturday. This quiz was much easier for me and I was able to finish it. Today is Lea's real birthday so when she entered the classroom our whole class containing twenty one students, burst into song. Then, asked for our professor for plus points, just as a joke though. Before going home, Lea treated us again with Starbucks. When I came back home, I felt awfully tired and my parents with my brother left for QC. I was told to sleep and I did right after I ate lunch. I slept from 1pm 'til 8pm. I woke to a large serving of Serenitea and dinner.

I'm good now. And, studying again for the umpteenth time because I did none yesterday. I just learned that Wong Fu will be coming to Manila. I must see them... but I might be so busy due to my majors this term. But, when will they ever visit again? Ahhh, decisions... decisions. Wong Fu For Life!

Well, I said I was never going to do this again. But, I just don't have the time to give each day a post of its own.

I am very sorry but I'm literally fully booked. I wish to be more free but comprehensive exams are coming in less than a week so I have to be totally prepared. For, I need to pull up my grades for the very last time.

Tomorrow's (February 8) my mother's birthday. And, then after that I might as well not have a life. Because, I  do not wish to be a very boring post. I will be updating on the February 8 post tomorrow. I promise that it is a hell of a lot more... interesting.

I got my wish!

We've had this planned since last year, the question was when we could actually go there. And we went today! Where is there exactly? It's at the Manila Ocean Park and I consider it like a more convenient Marine Park/ Oceanarium to go because it's right in Manila and the prices are very reasonable. Plus, the place really is amazing, even though it was hit by the storm last year.

This fish looks sad. But, he kept on following our camera so we assumed he wanted his picture taken. So, here is one of the biggest fish I've ever seen considering it isn't a shark. I'm not exactly a big fan of fishes but they still amaze me. There were three shows that we would've gone to but we came in late so we only had the laser and water fountain show.

The show was long so it really was worth the wait. I had laughed my butt off watching these three stars named: Shooting Starfish, Rising Starfish and Falling Starfish. Gosh, and there was this lobster and chef, then the lovey-dovey lionfishes. Just go watch it at the Manila Ocean Park.

Yes, another late post.

My nonstop studying is finally taking a toll on my health. I am sick. Ever since yesterday, I've been feeling a bit more sore, especially during the nighttime. I'm guessing it's from being extremely tired of studying, stressing out on quizzes, and of course, trying to keep up with the rest of my life.

According to my mother, this should help

cure my sickness.

But, I couldn't afford to be absent. I had a quiz and, to say it frankly, I might fail that quiz because my mind wasn't feeling anywhere near a hundred percent. So, I might as well do so much better the next time around. However, my other quiz result came out and I'm one of the top passers. I wanted to celebrate so much and buy myself a cake, yet I knew that my immune system might not like it.

Even though it was late, and I was beginning to get really cranky, I had to just finish my homework and attend the next day. Because, I cannot afford to miss one.

The truth is I restarted blogging because of many things.

Younger kids these days may not even remember seeing one of these unless the cable's out. I doubt they've experienced "lost signal" on TV.

My first reason was because I wanted to "document" my 18 year old self. I'll be honest is saying that the blog is certainly has a bit of a sugarcoating because I believe that I wouldn't want to read myself cursing or swearing every other word. I have a slight tendency to speak like that but ever since I've been blogging, it toned down a lot. Now, I go "oh my gosh" and people look at me like I'm crazy.

Second, I felt that every time I surf the Internet to read posts on whatever. I feel like smiling 'cause hey that happened to me too, or (the opposite) that I want that to happen to me too. Blogs are more real stories to me because they are written by real people. Including the wrong grammars and misspelled words, which I'm sure I've done a lot. Like I said before, I'm really good at writing in English.

Lastly, I wanted a blog so that I never have to keep anything suppressed or repressed, whichever the term is. I just wanted to be somehow "free". People can comment here and say a lot of bad things and they have the freedom to do that. I also have the freedom to delete such comments. But, that's not the point. It's with this blog I can post my drawings, try out other forms of art, maybe rant a little bit too.

I thought about writing this because a lot of my friends have lost their interest to blog. On hiatus, and some of them write a post by the season (Christmas, Back to School, End of the Term, and during their birthdays). Not that something's wrong with that. I just hope that they post more.

Yes, it's not much about my day. It's just what I've discovered today.

Besides it being a homework-free Sunday for me, everything went as usual. I'm beginning to think that I'm settling again to being a home buddy. Sometimes, I really like being boring because I don't have to put on much effort to tell stories. Listening to other people is good enough for me. There are times I admit that I may be hyper and crazy, especially when I've just finished with something stressful.

I got to buy one of those Starbucks music. Here's an outtake, can you hear it?

It's obviously not for everyone since Cham and Luis keep bothering me about how boring it is. I happen to like coffee shop music; they are much more relaxing and not distracting. Video upload took longer that I thought it'd take.

Well, at least this time I fell asleep at 1am but still I woke up at around 6am. My insomnia has been cured, hoorah! I wonder if I'll be lucky this Year of the Water Dragon.

~Photo of the Day: My "Interesting" Life Schedule~

I seem to be falling asleep earlier than I usually do when compared to my weekdays. Falling asleep at 8pm and 10pm are not what I usually do because... I perform better at nighttime. No matter how much I change the wording it seems to have a double meaning. By perform, I mean study and write papers, stuff like that.

I guess having a long weekend gives me the opportunity to be able to catch up on sleep. I've been able to acquire all ten hours of sleep for the past two nights. Meaning I wake up a bit earlier but I like it. But, it also means I fall asleep before I could even write up my post. Because, this is usually scheduled at 10-11pm. We were actually required to make a schedule of our lives for one of our subjects to help monitor what the hell we're doing with our lives. Just out of curiosity.

So, I'm posting my "life" schedule which involves a lot of studying. That is because I study while I watch TV, listen to music, and it also includes studying the guitar. Basically, I just want to keep my life busy or I might attempt to eat a whole pack of Smint... again. I do not recommend anyone else to do this because too much of Smint gives a laxative effect. -___-

From the time that I woke up (at 4am) 'til the the time I fell asleep (at 8pm), I felt very sleepy during classes because of the toll of having classes for the whole week. I didn't even get to do anything when I got home. I ate my milk bun from Tous les Jours, opened my Facebook for a little while then I fell asleep at an early 8pm. I didn't even get to eat dinner.

So, I'm posting at a later date. I actually woke up at 4am getting used to my daily routine. Hello long weekend!

That was the whole reason why I was not able to post yesterday. Honestly, I am not hipster so I have absolutely no idea on what to wear in Vicky's Debut. So, my mom just got one of our colorful dresses paired off with a purple cardigan and some high-heeled boots. Yes, not the typical hipster that we all know.

As I said long before, I do not like taking pictures on the day itself. I let the photographer people and my friends do that because it would be easier for me. Unfortunately, I did not stay very long because I need to really be diligent with my studies (nerd). Anyway, I don't like partying much. I mean, I like the dancing, the music and the company but for some reason I really wasn't in the mood yesterday. I was really quiet and just listening to the program, sucks for me, right?

I hate it when I'm that way. I usually am when I have something in my mind that's bothering me.

Yet, I have to say that the debut was really amazingly awesome. The hostess was really funny, she made me laugh especially when she did the Chinese accent. She really kept things going. Then. Then, Vicky has this friend that sings like an angel. I didn't know her name then because I was not listening (bad!) but my friend posted this on Facebook.

Kyaaaa, can't stop listening to her earlier this morning. And, it was raining a bit so it was the perfect happy music to listen to. Gosh, she really is amazing.

Today, I've been lazing around a bit after studying. It's nice to have the rain again. I love the rain!

Hello friends! I'm at Bora already.

We got on Airphil Express on a flight to Kalibo. I packed so many bags that I had a hard time keeping up with everything that I had. I didn't want anyone else taking my laptop from me so I had been holding it with me.

From Kalibo Airport, we had a van waiting for us and it took us to this private port where we had to wait for the boat that would take us to Bora. I don't exactly like it there on the port because there were so many mosquitoes. I had dengue before so I'm very aware of mosquitoes. When we got to our boat, the sun was already setting. I wanted to have a good shot of it so I barely had anytime to concentrate on taking pictures of myself.

Since we got there pretty late, we looked for a place to have our dinner. Considering the last time I ate something with sustenance was at 12nn, I was really hungry. We're located at Station1 in the White House Resort but the good ambience was at Station2 and we decided to walk there. We ended up to eat at this place called Nigi Nigi Nu Noos "e" Nuno Noos, whatever that could mean. I love eating grilled squid so I was happy to see that mom ordered us one.

I'm such a fail right now at taking pictures of my food because I'm always so hungry. I can't stop myself. Lol. There are so many foreigners here this season from New Zealand, Brazil, USA and from places I dunno.

I tried shopping today.

Honestly, I went back to buy Eeyore but I think the Christmas sale is over thus the items go back to their original price. He was originally priced at two thousand apiece. Yikes! So, I gave up on Eeyore. Insert sad face.

I did enter every single store in the mall because I shop like that. It's very tiring and I never notice the time until my tummy starts rumbling. Before shopping, I ate a handful of chestnuts to keep the hunger at bay thus I am able to stay on my feet for a good four hours.

If there's one store I did not enter into long, it would be the department store. Yes, it's supposed to be the most complete but I get so frustrated with the many people and the noise. To save my sanity, I rarely or quickly pass through the department store. Noisy teenagers squealing on a shirt or whatever. Bratty kids who complain but secretly want to be there. I hate standing there.

I went around to the toy store, as usual. Kids' noise make me laugh because they're happy noise like the ones in the department stores. That's when I found out about the price change. Disheartened, I went to Blue Magic. I'll be honest that it's been a long time since I've gotten a stuff toy. And so, I got myself Strauwinsky the multicolored dog. I love these kinds of plush they're huggable and colorful.

It's beginning to look like a long post but carrying on... I finally got to watch a Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) movie. I saw the movie Segunda Mano starring Kris Aquino and Dingdong Dantes, with my mom. I loved the actress who played Ana/Anna (obviously did not wait for the credits) 'cause everything she did was totally how I would react to what was happening. The name thing adds too because I like my name. But, I am not as stylish /fashionable as her.

I'm in love...

...with my very first pair of boots.

Okay, so they're not the most fashionable nor are they the most expensive. But, they ARE the most comfortable pair of footwear I've ever worn, next to an a pair of good old pair of Havaianas slippers. I'm not the most fashionable person alive I know that, one of the most fashionable lives in the next room of our house. I really should make a cover on Cham very soon.

Anyway, my taste for shoes is very simple. It's gotta be really easy to wear and it must look awesome, cute or elegant, and sometimes just plain weird. I've been so used to wearing sneakers and rubber shoes that discovering heels was a very big thing for me.

Back in my first year of college, I'd usually wear high heels or wedges just for the hell of it. Because, I didn't commute to and from school then. But now, I've settled with just any kind of shoes. Except for sky high stilettos, I'm still very much afraid to wear those kind of things.

And due to the acquisition of a lot of shoes, these three babies were just part of the six pairs we bought yesterday. Yes, my mother and I shopped yesterday, I like shopping with my mom 'cause the only questions she asks are: "Do you like it?" and "Are you gonna wear it?" The most important questions when shopping, right? Back to what I was saying, due to the acquisition of such pairs of shoes, my mom and I are really seriously thinking about donating the shoes we no longer use.

So there, for the Christmas spirit, we are giving our old pairs to those who need them. And, we should have them fixed before giving them. It's the right thing to do, right?
