April 25, 2012. CANCELLED FLIGHT?!

Pictures are to follow.

I rarely do put out "titles" other than dates but, seriously?

Getting delayed is fine with me, and getting a cancelled flight on the way home is so-and-so. But, getting a cancelled flight TO a place, said place being Palawan. I am dumbstruck.

When we were in the airport and had been waiting for three hours (12 PM), I jokingly said that we'd be cancelled. The intercom said we'd departure by 1 PM. Apparently, around eighteen passengers for our flight were told to go home since the plane that came was a lot smaller. Long story short, they had overbooked the plane. On the other hand, these people received a round trip tour, with accommodations valid for the next six months (I assume it's for domestic flights only). That was around 3/4 PM.

The other fifty-seven passengers, however, were told that our flight was simply delayed and we'd be leaving in a few minutes. Around 5 PM, we were told that our flight was boarding. After waiting for an awfully long seven hours in the airport, suffering boredom, we were finally boarding. We got into the airport shuttle and when we got to the plane, the man entered to tell us that our flight was officially... CANCELLED.

What the FUUUUU?

AirPhilippines had to do a lot of explaining to the passengers because the flight after us got in just fine. Now, what were we gonna do? They got us free accommodations at this place called the Executive Palace which is a pretty normal hotel. Nothing amazing really, it's just that there's just another problem...

Our luggage was already in Coron, Busuanga.

Again, What. The. FUUUU?!

So, instead of buying new clothes at Robinsons Manila, we had a good dinner at the restaurant right in front of it called, Cifu. After having a really good and satisfying dinner, we went back to the hotel took out our carry ons and boarded a taxi home.

Now, I'm here at home finally getting to watch Glee.

Seriously though... How unlucky could one person get?
