July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Twenty Nine to Thirty One

A few days late with the others, but I'm finally finished!

Theme of Day Twenty Nine: Fill a Page with Sketches

~Drawing of the Day: Everything's Connected~

Was trying so hard to catch up that I did this in pencil. Apparently my pencil was a tad bit lighter than I thought, I will be editing this soon enough!

Theme of Day Thirty: Gangster/Samurai/Pirate/Knight

~Drawing of the Day: Red and Black Samurai~

My love for anime series comes out again with this piece. I tried so hard to keep away from what I was used to but the Samurai choice was just screaming to be made!

Theme of Day Thirty One: Anything At All

~Drawing of the Day: Hair Braiding~

If I had the time and concentration, I could actually do this one my own or someone else's hair. There was that one time I dreamt of being a hairstylist.

To wrap it all up! Thanks again to the host of this wonderful event, Mr. Donal Fallon. You could check out the rest of the amazing month of July by clicking on this link and to the day you want to see. Don't be shy!

I am outta here,

Sunday

July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Twenty Eight

Since I have not the time (nor inspiration) to come up with a human character to base with an aging process. I used something that's been around me since last Friday.

Effing bread. I love bread and since my mom came home with a bag of Tous Les Jours, there was nothing stopping me from eating whichever I wanted. So, I bring to you, my drawing.

Theme of the Day: 4 Panels of a Character Aging

~Drawing of the Day: The Story of Jelly Bun~

And, that's it for today. I'm a day late because of a children's party here at home even though it's been raining really bad.

Hoping for a suspension of classes tomorrow!

July 28, 2012: Work in Progress

Apparently, my friend really liked the cartoonized version of the Kingdom Hearts, Search Ghost Heartless from a few days ago. Since, he has a DIY tumbler from Starbucks he asked me to possibly recreate it.

The problem is I forgot to test for the dimensions but I've been itching to start. I had him test it for me so it's about a little more than 3/4 of the 8.5x11.

So for testing purposes, I wrapped it around a can of Pik-Nik and turned it around. So far it looks really good (forget my careless photography for now), there may have been some slight alterations to proportions to fit the paper.

Still cramming papers to be submitted tomorrow,

July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Twenty Six and Twenty Seven

We apparently have the saddest elephant in the world. And, it just reminded me of how much I grew up watching Dumbo and Lion King and you know how sad Dumbo was 'cause she has like the biggest ears. And, I could totally relate... not because I have ginormous ears but because I have my own insecurities as well.

Because of that, if I had to choose a fave animal of all the thousands and thousands of species. It's an elephant because well, they're nice, smart and can spray water with their trunks.

Theme of Day Twenty Six: Favorite Animal

~Drawing of the Day: Tribal Elephant~

Theme of Day Twenty Seven: Abstract

~Drawing of the Day: The Bubble Tree~

We had this project way back in highschool where I tried to explain making a tree out of circles of different shades of green. And, my friends couldn't really understand what the hell I was talking about. Maybe... just maybe... we should have just done it this way instead.

I'm still in the process of making up a business card (Day Twenty Five), 'cause I've never made one before nor had I ever gotten one.

Must do something productive...

Tuesday

July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Twenty Four

Theme of the Day: Monster

~Drawing of the Day: The Search Ghost from Kingdom Hearts~

Not very inspired today. But, I remember having played against these 'monsters' back then. I'll just go and hide under a rock to study... about politics... which I totally suck at. Sighh...

Good day to you all!

Monday

July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Twenty Three

It's my 200th post!!! WAAAHHHH! \(^_^)/

Copying something so complicated is not my thing. I tend to not follow the proportions as exact as it should be... And, whenever I do, it seems to take forever.

Theme of the Day: A Tarot Card

~Drawing of the Day: Wheel of Fortune Tarot Card in Sepia~

This baby took me three hours to make because I was trying to stay within the box. The typography was actually the easiest part. I stopped caring for the "perfect" circle since my compass is missing and I just took my chance with it. I must say it looks medieval enough especially with the sepia effect.

The rest are going to be updated by our host in this blog: Day 23 - A Tarot Card.

I can finally rest knowing that I am satisfied with my work.

Sunday

July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Twenty Two

I really did skip Day Twenty One simply because, for some reason, I cannot choose which band I'd love to make a cover for. So, on with day twenty two!

Theme of the Day: A Treehouse

~Drawing of the Day: A Birdhouse Treehouse~

Honestly, I've never been in a 'homemade' treehouse. The only treehouse I've been into was the one in Disneyland, I don't think that should really count. I've been in bungalows though, they're pretty much the same. Except for the climbing up a tree part.

I don't even know how this treehouse stands. I just thought that maybe... just maybe, they stood on the branches? asjdhskadj, I really have no idea whatsoever...

Rainy weather makes me super lazy,

Friday

July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Eighteen to Day Twenty

I've been feeling sick since I came home last Wednesday and since I feel like it's more bearable today... I started on sketching the three that I've put off. Hopefully, you guys could understand that these aren't as "well-planned" as the rest. I'm still coughing and I just wish it would stop.

Theme of Day Eighteen: Something Orange

~Drawing of the Day: Orange M&Ms~

Theme of Day Nineteen: Book Cover for my Favorite Novel

~Drawing of the Day: Julia Quinn's Dancing at Midnight~

Theme of Day Twenty: One of the Four Seasons

~Drawing of the Day: Springtime~

I caught up!!! Yeeaaahhh. I'm currently listening to my batchmates' [from highschool] online radio station. RedCard FM

And, I am off.

July 18, 2012: Goodies from Korea

My mother just got back home from Korea! And, she brought back some goodies for me.

~Fashionable Korean Goodies~

Clockwise, top left to middle: Knit Sweater (Unknown Brand), Powder Blue Cardigan and Off Shoulder Shirt (GGPX New York), Nail Polish (Missha), Compact Powder (Missha), BB Cream (Missha), Umbrella (Shinzi Katoh), Dress Extensions, Cardigan (Lora Fashion), Sandals (Ssamzie).

~Fashionable Korean Goodies~

--Pictures Edited with Photovisi.com--

Clockwise: Red Bean Bread (Fauchon), Hanbok Bookmarks, Jasmine Flavored Mints (MintQ)

Well, that's all. I didn't really think my mom was going to bring back anything since, well... Korea's expensive.

Off to sketch,
AnaRay

Tuesday

July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Sixteen and Seventeen

Day Sixteen was themed for landscape, seeing I had no more time yesterday, I had reuploaded an old picture from this blog. You can find it back here as to the whole process... Painting Clouds.

Theme for Day Seventeen: Quick Doodle

~Drawing of the Day: Doggone Mental~

This is going to be my only day of rest and all the rest... studies.

Finally chillin',
AnaRay

Monday

July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Fourteen and Fifteen

Update!
Theme of Day Fourteen: Outer Space

~Drawing of the Day: Outer Space Indoors~

Theme of Day Fifteen: Fairytale

~Drawing of the Day: Alice in Wonderland~

Finals had finally finished which only means that the hard part comes in now. But, before all that "shit" goes down, I had some time off of studies and papers, and silly projects for my classes. I spent it with my friends Lea and Winnona somewhere in Manila. I finally was able to watch American Pie (1&2) and now I get where some of the jokes originated from.

My mother took my camera with her to freakin' Korea and now I have to deal with my cellphone's camera. It isn't that bad but the flash just won't do it for me.

Done for the day,
AnaRay

i just realized after i typed it that my ending remark just rhymed with my name.

Friday

July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Thirteen

Quick Post!
Theme of the Day: Favorite Mythical Creature

~Drawing of the Day: The Phoenix~

I've got exams in less than 12 HOURS and I'm not even effin' prepared for the thing.

PANIC MODE!
AnaRay

what am i doing online?!?!

Thursday

July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Twelve

A little hobo fact: A little girl hobo is called [a] Maeve.

Theme of the Day: A Hobo

~Drawing of the Day: Meet Maeve~

I don't precisely know what's so special about a hobo. But, when I looked it up on Wikipedia, they sounded a lot more interesting that "just poor people". They have these signs and symbols, code of ethics, and a lot of other stuff which you could find in the Internet.

~Quick Sketch~

I am off to read some fictional stories somewhere in Fictionpress.
AnaRay

i could just never seem to get the eyes right...

July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Eleven

Meet my superhero...

Theme of the Day: Useless Superpower

~Drawing of the Day: Senbazuru~

This probably is the hardest 'cause what is a useless superpower? With a little bit of imagination, there's bound to be some purpose for it... right?

Senbazuru means one thousand cranes, which is exactly what she can do. And, that's the only thing she can do... The worst damage possible? Paper Cuts.

I've got an exam tomorrow, and I'm freaking out!!!

Tuesday

July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Ten

I admit that I do love school... to the point that I really really really want to work there.

Theme of the Day: When I Grow Up

~Drawing of the Day: College Professor~

I'm still studying in college so for now, the possibilities are... well, possible. But, as I keep on going forward with my accounting studies, I don't think I'll immediately turn out to be a professor for it. I may take on the practice first then go on from there... that is, if I graduate with my current Majors.

I really have to skedaddle because of my finals. So, here's my quick contribution for today!

Peace and love,
AnaRay

the formula is something most business people should understand...

Monday

July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Nine

Here's my entry for the ninth day:

Theme of the Day: Mode of Transportation

~Drawing of the Day: Flying High in Technicolor~

When I woke up this morning, I was actually very tired and had this "let's just let this day finish" attitude, as people normally do on Mondays. I dislike having that outlook though, because as much as possible I want to have a good day and start it as a good day.

So around second period, I was already relatively okay because I was doodling multiple sketches for today (which included planes, cars, buses and a unicycle, I am not used to drawing "transportation"). But, when I got the exam that I was so sure that I failed at, but apparently I did really well on, my mood shifted and thus the birth of the balloon!

All throughout the day, I was just imagining how I'd finish it that I was so excited to get back home and do this.

Wishing you all good days!
AnaRay

July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Eight

It's 12AM!!!

I should be heading to bed now, but it's during the night do I get the urge to pick up a pencil and then end up with a piece of art.

Theme of the Day: A Toy

~Drawing of the Day: Patched Up~

I leave you with this toy-themed drawing. Though he looks a bit tattered and broken, he still has a smile on his face 'cause he knows he's all fixed up.

It brings me happy thoughts because, we all have a lot of scars and bruises (physically, emotionally and mentally) but there's always someway that we are able to pick ourselves up and start again. To everyone who's having a hard time, I hope you all feel the urge to continue on.

I wish you happy thought for the rest of the day!
AnaRay

Sunday

July Project: 31-Day Drawing Challenge - Day Seven

After having the June Project, I thought I'd find something else for July. And then, BOOM! I found this blogger who created a 31 Day Drawing Challenge, you could find him here, and he actually compiles some of the artworks.

Though this post is late, I have now my contribution for Day Seven - Favorite Animated Character. For those who don't know, this is Princess Yue from Avatar: The Last Airbender. For some reason, she looks a lot younger than she should be... ^_^

Theme of the Day: Favorite Animated Character

~Drawing of the Day: Princess Yue~

I really should be picking up my schoolbooks and forget about my sketches for awhile.

Happy days for everyone!

Saturday

July 1-5, 2012: Online Shopping

There's just something about buying things.

With my friends having these online shops pop up on my Facebook, I can't help but look at all the items. Now, my problem with online shopping is that they might not fit me. Because I'm short, but I don't exactly fit in a size small, my feet are sized around US 5-6. I guess it's what really stops me from being a shopping kind of person...

Here are my friends' online shops on Facebook so you can check 'em out:

I got all of my stuff after waiting around for about 4 days. And, I must say that I am very very happy with all my purchases...

a pair of fancyflats for everyday use...

I'm usually afraid of having to buy anything that says "free size" without having to try them on, because they're usually a little bit bigger on me, longer than it should be and everything. But, the sleepwear that I got fit me well enough that it isn't suffocating or two sizes bigger.

say meow to the cats, meow!

can you afford?

I'm still awfully busy with my studies since finals and midterms are coming up in a few days. You've read that right... finals AND midterms, only in DLSU. Online shopping has helped me in a way... calm down and be happy. Because, holding a paper bag with new items is just so... so... nice. I am not a shopaholic.

Cramming!
