HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Again, I am back in Manila.

Writing this post actually hurts so much 'cause I woke up with so many bruises, thanks to my horseback riding yesterday. Apparently, riding a horse on full gallop at rough terrain gives you a lot of bruises. (-____-)

So, not only did my body hurt like I was stoned but I also signed up for kayaking and pedal boat at eight in the freaking morning. And, oh my god, does it hurt! The sun was blazing hot which is the normal part here, but my arms and legs feel like I've done so much exercising without the warm-up that I can't even pull myself up. As you can see right there, my brother does NOT paddle very good.

~Photo of the Day: Kayaking on Taal Lake~

But, I always felt better when I'm in the water because it's calmer. I just remembered right now that today was the first time that I had swum in a lake, that is not during a field trip. Well, with a number of beaches here in the Philippines, why would I opt for a lake, right?

I was totally knocked out right after the water sports that I slept all through out the ride back home. Getting back home, I feel so relaxed that I really did forget about failing my midterms.

Now, I'm just watching America's Next Top Model All Stars because, it's what's normal in my life.

Sunday

October 30, 2011

We left earlier this morning at around seven am, and ended up in the Bag of Beans restaurant at around nine and left after an hour and half. Later, we headed out to Club Balai Isabel three hours earlier than we needed to be here so we went out to take a boat ride to the Taal volcano.

Truthfully, I've been visiting Tagaytay and Batangas for so long that I always thought that going to the volcano would be such a waste. I mean it would cost us at a minimum of three thousand pesos because of horse rentals, guides and water transportation.

Anyway, it was NOT a waste of time. I mean, if you don't care much for views and have a fascination with riding horses then I say skip it; because, that's all that there is. Yet if you want to experience an adventure... an adventure, then I would really recommend you go up to the crater.

When I was a kid, I was one of those overrated kids who wanted a pony for their sixth birthday or something. But, I had a dream. I seriously wanted to ride horses as a sport. Jumping fences and all that sh*t. So today, I totally felt like I could ride a horse professionally if given the chance, but I know my parents would not agree 'cause of my "problem" (ehem, scoliosis).

Back to today, I rode a brown horse named Romy. He was a very good horse, on our way back from the crater the horseman let me ride him by myself. And let me tell you, riding a horse downhill is not easy... ESPECIALLY, if said horse likes to GALLOP downhill.

Did I mention I like bukos?
~Photo of the Day: Sharing Buko Juice~

When we go back to our room, we ate merienda made of instant noodles. Then, me and Luis headed out to the pool and had a mini obstacle course. I almost beat him, because he sucks at running while I'm so scared of falling down the beam. So yea, I lost. We headed to this pool which was really really deep because of my five feet flat height, I couldn't even reach the bottom.

We got back again to our room to find Cham fast asleep because it was so cold. Now, we're at this Terraza Cafe just finished dinner and winding down. My brother is at my side laughing at some parts because it's true.

Winding down,
AnaRay

can i not go back to Manila?

Saturday

October 29, 2011

I missed the party. Supposedly, I was going to the party with a military costume or something like Tomb Raider.

Buuuut... I'm packing for another adventure which starts tomorrow at strictly six in the morning.

I'll be going to Club Balai Isabel with my family and as usual we have a timed-itinerary and all that so we could hit everything. Basically, it's gonna be a lot of family bonding and activities that will probably tick one of us. Also, it means we might go up to trek to the Taal volcano which I hope does not suddenly erupt.

~Photo of the Day: Where I'll Be~

This is going to be like the second weekend in a row that I'm not at home. I used to be a home buddy, you know rarely leaving home. But now, I'm enjoying my college life as much as possible. Yea... enjoying college without drinking alcohol, kinda weird right?

And we went grocery shopping! I like going to the groceries, well... food. I love food.

Here's another song while I was waiting for our food in Kenny Rogers, this is to the beat of Demi Lovato's Skyscraper, the first part and like half of the chorus, 'cause our food already came.

I am hungry, and I'm waiting
For my fav'rite Mac N Cheese.
And, the chicken as it's roasting, like I'll never have a piece
Do they have to make me feel like there's nothing left for me?

They can take all the steaks I have
They can take the rootbeer that I have
'Cause I don't want those
I want my chicken

Packing up,
AnaRay

i'm finally unsick!

Friday

October 28, 2011

I actually wrote this earlier because I have my midterms from six at night 'til nine.

Okay, so basically I've been waiting to take this midterm exam since two-thirty this afternoon so I'm reviewing everything for the past, errr, two/three hours?

See, I really do need to pass this exam because I actually wanna get into my majors even though I usually feel like I'll never get there. I'm no pessimistic person but I am a bit realistic about my life. Because first off, the accountancy course is apparently one of the most called for courses. Second, I'm not exactly the smartest person...which I hope excuses me for repeating this subject.

OR! It could be because I'm rarely home. I don't wanna blame my friends for throwing parties every weekend or so, and I don't exactly wanna blame myself for actually attempting (and usually succeeding) to go to every single one of them because I feel guilty for not showing up.

I think I seriously have not missed out on an occasion unless it's one of these things:
1. My parents didn't let me go which rarely happens because for reasons I don't know
2. Out of the country or out of Manila, but my parents usually work around it
3. Due to prior arrangements, which rarely happens because I still go to both (if possible)
4. Exams or classes that I need to attend to
5. Studying for midterms or finals, which let's be honest takes me two hours
6. It's probably a drinking party, I don't like drinking alcohol
7. Lazy. Lazy. Lazy... the last time this happened was... uhmmm, I don't remember

~Photo of the Day: Hello Long Weekend!~

Just finished her exams,
AnaRay

i'm not confident with my exam. T_T

Thursday

October 27, 2011

Apparently, I am going away again this weekend.

This time I'll be bonding with my family and I've got my brother to do all these sort of activities with me since he's like a friend to me. Awww...

But really, I am very thankful for my little brother who is really much much taller than me. And, a lot of people say that he's handsome (kill me now!). I've rarely mentioned my brother here since he's always so busy with either studies or PS3 or out with his friends, so yea, my brother has a more active social life than I did back in highschool. BUT BUT! I tell him which games to buy. (^o^)

~Photo of the Day: Random Post about my Brother~

Info about my brother: We celebrate the same birthday though he's five years younger. He's taller than me currently by around three inches. Baker. Gamer. Smart if he wants to be. Actually gets along with my friends. Sometimes I feel like he's my twin, my mother was just late. And yea, we don't look anything alike.

If you ask us what we'd like to trade with each other, it would be the skin color. Yeap, he hates his pinkish skin color and I'm not happy with my yellowish skin color. All in all, we're good on everything.

Oh, and this guy doesn't have a lot of scars (except for the one on his forehead which you will never see) since our mom will be so mad if we have a scar on us.

~My brother~

On the other hand, I've already gotten my "costume" and it's not even much of a costume, just a different look from me. I've still got one more midterm to pass tomorrow and I am free from all the studying!

As for where I'll be this weekend, Saturday here in Manila fixing up for Madz's debut. Then, from Sunday to Monday, I'll keep you guys posted.

Cramming,
AnaRay

my brother is weird. love you bro!

Wednesday

October 26, 2011

I finally got to go inside UST... for educational purposes.

I still feel sick and I've done nothing but sleep when I got inside the FX, the bus ride back to LaSalle and the bus ride back home. Thank God, I did not fall asleep during my midterms.

So my topic for today, since there is absolutely nothing else that I could talk about, is... what will be my costume for Madz's Halloween Party? This lucky girl really does celebrate her birthday on All Hallow's Eve and it's just now that I could recall that she'll be having a costume party.

See, I don't want to spend money 'cause this might be the last time I'll be wearing this costume. That is why, I am torn between being a panda or being Lilo from Lilo and Stitch. But, I won't be so strict as to wear exactly that. Kinda like this... but not that.

~Photo of the Day: Err... Costume?~

My head keeps spinning,
AnaRay

do i really have to go to class tomorrow?

Tuesday

October 25, 2011

I am truly and utterly sick.

It just means that I'm going to pass my midterms... I think.

Everybody has their own superstition like how I have to be sick on the time of my midterms in order to pass said exams. The truth is, I hate being sick because it gets in the way of me being productive. I actually had a whole outline planned out for this blog but my eyes are so droopy and my body is so sore that... I'm too lazy.

I got this picture from another blog and it's EXACTLY how I feel like.

~Photo of the Day: Sick in Bed~

I happen to have a lot of "must-do's" so that I could say that I will pass, or I had a great time and all that. You see on my debut, I actually tripped during my performance in front. A lot of my friends thought it was part of the performance but no, it was not. (^_^);;

Then, when I have a great time I usually lose my footing like in Cebu, I tripped on the stairs on Mae's porch. I also tripped in Tagaytay when I was with my Lounge Kroo, and then again in Batangas with LK. I really do have a lot of these, like when I drink tea while making a paper actually speeds up.

I dunno why I'm actually still talking... I really should be studying.

Reading the laws,
AnaRay

do i really have to post a picture today?

~Photo of the Day: Blogs ng Pinoy Homepage~

I am officially listed on the Blogs ng Pinoy.

Well, I am back in Manila... meaning back to uni. What greets me back to school? Speech class with an impromptu speech on a random topic to connect to a current event. Lucky me, I was not called because I was so bangag that I could not think straight.

Then, I finally reported in Art class and well, it was so blah. Because, I was still so tired that I did not want to put much effort already.

So, when I got back home. I saw that I have been listed and so I'll try to do my best on this blog. Also, I'm editing videos and uploading pictures on Facebook to... rub it in my blockmates face. mwahahaha!

Midterms acoming,
AnaRay

must get back to study mode.

October 23, 2011

Last day in Cebu and we woke up late.

Right after checking out of Parklane Hotel, we (me, Jiou and finally Mae) go to the more provincial part of Cebu, if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, we were supposed to get into TOPS but it was like P100 just for a view. So, we decided to skip but then... we saw this Skyline Garden, pretty much the same in the way that it has the view of Cebu.

~So Sunny in the Skyline Garden~

After, that we went to Balambanan to have an adventure on the zipline. Can I just say that I was holding the cam while we were going down! And I did this twice so that I could get close footage on all three of us.

~Suit Up!~

~Photo of the Day: Group Shot~

This place was a really long drive away from the city so getting back to the city we started getting weird. And we got to the Ayala Center at four pm and we have not yet eaten lunch. So, we got to Laguna Cafe and the food was yuuum. And, we finally got to eat Pata Humba. yay! (^o^)

~Cute Kid in Ayala Center~

Lastly, we went back to Mae's house to get our stuff and head out to the airport. In the airport, Mae got into a lot of problems because of her carry on bag, I thought the plane was going to leave before she was finished. (^_^)

~Mae's Very Floral Room~

I got back home safely and could not sleep 'til it was four in the morning. Why? I drank coffee in the plane because I already felt so sleepy. And, it was such a bad idea because when caffeine gets into my system, it does NOT leave.

~My seat number~

OH, BIG THANKS TO MAE'S MOM AND OUR DRIVER! They were both so patient with us since we (me and Jiou) cannot speak Cebuano.

Went back into reality,
AnaRay

estoryahe!

October 22, 2011

I'm trying to recall what we did then.

So, we woke up at Apple Tree Suites and waited for the driver while Mae was off preparing for her debut. We were checked in Parklane Hotel ate some amazing food especially the sushi and lechon Cebu.

~Sushi and Lechon Cebu~

~Alice didn't have this much arrows in Wonderland!~

~Awesome "carving" near the elevators~

And then, VROOM! Me and Jiou went to several places.

First was the Fort San Pedro and it was so hot! There was actually a wedding photo shoot inside so there weren't a lot of people. And we had these Koreans traveling around, we met them in I think all three of our destinations.

~The Sign~

~Walking down Fort San Pedro~

~Jiou gets imprisoned in the fort~

~And escapes~

Magellan's Cross was super packed with people and we just cruised in for awhile and headed out somewhere else.

~Then to Magellan's Cross~

People in this temple must be really fit because there were so many steps. The picture below is actually just the third stop I think before one of the main temples. Unfortunately, we're not allowed to take pictures of altars as it's... I don't know, bad?

~Me at the Taoist Temple in Beverly Hills, Cebu~

Right after those three destinations, we headed back to Parklane to get ready. And can I just say that Jiou takes a hell of a lot longer to get ready than I do?!

~In Jiou's hotel room before the event~

~Pink and puffy Mae~

~Photo of the Day: I am a flowerbud~

Oh, that's Mae's dad singing to her. How sweeet!

Then, I headed back to my hotel room with Mae.Hearing Mae talk in Cebuano is actually pretty weird because she sometimes slips up in Manila, but in Cebu she sometimes talks to us in Bisaya and I'm like... whuuut?

Finish day,
AnaRay

so much history in Cebu!

~Photo of the Day: At Oyster Bay~

I am posting just today for yesterday's escapades.

Well, before I start, let me just say that I easily get too excited and then, I become really chatty.

Anyway, right after Jiou's last class we headed straight for the Manila Domestic Terminal to check in. It didn't take that long but waiting to board the plane was. Our flight was delayed for twenty-five minutes and let me tell you how much we've spent just in that airport to airplane trip.

TERMINAL FEE...........................P200
FOOD FROM FRENCH CAFE....P155
FOOD FROM PLANE .................P120

Yea, we eat a lot. And, in some effed up way, Jiou lost his hearing in the plane. (O.O)

~Plane Ride~

Mae's mom waited for us in the airport and she was there already when we touched down so, we easily got to this awesome restaurant called Oyster Bay. The food there was so yummy, even though we only had calamaris and pancit canton.

~Oyster Bay~

And, they had sharks in the pool! As in real and actual sharks! We ate some calamari and pancit while we were waiting for Mae's arrival since her flight got delayed too.

 ~Shark!~

But then, we had to go back to rest. We got to talk to Kim Sta. Rita via Skype last night.

~Kim on Skype~

Pictures and videos soon to come. (^_^)

I have to eat breakfast now,
AnaRay

looking for wifi.

A diamond is a chunk of coal that is made good under pressure. - Henry Kissinger

I went to school early today to actually finish some school work. When I say early, I really mean eight o'clock, and my class starts at one. Yea, I needed atleast four hours to finish everything.

But, may I just say that today was awesome because I got my speech class grade, and apparently I do not suck at talking in front of people. To tell you the truth, she even told me that I was the best speaker in giving out an impromptu speech, and so my groupmates and I won a perfect score for that exercise. Seriously, I felt like I did that jawdrop thing, and oh my god. (O_O)

Honestly, I like talking to people I know but the truth is my heart starts to race when I'm in front of people, especially when I don't know any of them.

~Photo of the Day: The Speech Lab~

Today, I actually got to see Mel's condo for the first time But, before that, she made me go up to the swimming pool area first. Awesome pool, riiight? (^_^)

Since I am not a tenant here, I actually got a bit lost. Almost entered the gym, but BOOM! it was just at the side. I am so jealous... though we have a pool here at home, I wanna do some laps maybe.

All in all, today was not as boring as I thought it would be. It's been awhile since I went to someone's condo, and hopefully, I get to swim in the pool. (^o^)

Printing out tickets,
AnaRay

i really should ask my friends what they want for pasalubong.

What did I learn today from Law class?

A corporation cannot fall in love because he has no feelings, does not experience sleepless nights and has no nervous system.  whuuut? (o.O) Yea, if you're studying law, a corporation has its own identity, and blah blah blah.

Besides that, I went shopping for some things... Basically, stuff to pack for Friday. I'm not exactly going to show you, but I will, in a way. (^_^)

~Photo of the Day: What's in the Bag?~

I'm thinking about bringing school stuff because it's actually the weekend before my midterms. Then again, books are heavy. And, this laptop is coming with me so I'll probably still be online from time to time if I'm not going to random places.

Also, I have to say that I am excited and nervous for my first time riding in a plane without my parents.

Packing up,
AnaRay

what will i wear on the halloween party?

Today, I finally got my test results again... And let me tell you, I passed!

~Photo of the Day: I Finally Pass~

But, I can't take full credit for it. I did not cheat, just that there was something wrong with the whole second part so it was all up to what I answered in the True or False part. And, not being arrogant, I'm better off with True or False questions. They're easier!

Besides that, I just learned that I could like YouTube videos. Oh my god. I knew this due to the new upload by KevJumba. Fuuun. (^_^)

My posts are getting shorter because I haven't prepared like a topic, because I'm trying to focus on studies. But, I will be doing that again, hopefully soon.

Watching whatever's on YouTube,
AnaRay

i passed?

Monday

October 17, 2011

I am currently carefully learning the wonderful world of digital art.

~Photo of the Day: Daydreamer~

Today, I learned something new. Something I don't know what all the facts are, and hopefully I'll know what but... it's so hard to ask.

Besides that, I've gone to the office three times today and the person I was suppose to meet was NEVER there. I went in the morning, around the afternoon, and before I went home. So, it sucks because the building is a bit detached from the main building and the stairs, for some reason, tires me out too easily than others.

BUT! it was so much fun to hang out with some of the Block1 again namely Anne, Gab, Louie, Zig, Jiou and JC. It was like being back to frosh days because all we did was play bugtong bugtong (in English it directly translates to "riddle riddle", but it just means we answer riddles). (^_^)

Digiart-ing?
AnaRay

i like minimalist art.

~Photo of the Day: Yay! a starter puff.~

Today, I slept at 3:30 am simply because of my insomnia.

This post is going to have waaaay too many pictures. (^_^)

Anyway, I had my hair chopped off because it was getting a lot heavier and harder to maintain. And since I wanted a new style, I'd gone to Angelo Falconi III Salon and had my hair cut. The difference? See for yourself. My hair's straight again because they used a hair dryer, but I hope that it doesn't stay as straight.

Before

After

It's been a busy Sunday, waking up early for Mass then after lunch we headed to the Salon to get haircuts, and bake freaking cream puffs with custard filling. This is actually the second time we've done this so hopefully, it'll turn out good.

Saturday

October 15, 2011

I'm getting ready.

Today's the day for another one of my friends to debut herself to the society. So no, I won't be able to talk about what happens in the party 'til tomorrow. So, our topic for today will be what I'm obsessing over for the past days since I got Laptoppy with me.

Youtube celebrities: KevJumba (Kevin Wu), Niga Higa (Ryan Higa), Kina Grannis, Happyslip (Christine Gambito), Victor King (Victor Kim), WongFu Productions (Ted, Wes and Phil), and a whole lot more.

What's so addictive about them is that, in my opinion, they make the best out of what they could do in life. Or, maybe I'm just too busy right now to have fun. Anyway, they're fun to watch. Sure, they're not exactly Hollywood celebrities but they are celebrities in their own way like PapaJumba.

Anyway, I'm already very late so I'm leaving a picture of why exactly am I late.

~Photo of the Day: My Lola and Lolo' Plaque~

Yea, it was my late lola's birthday yesterday so we visited her earlier this day and just got back home.

On my way to Rox's,
AnaRay

will be late... for once.
